Trash Collection Schedule Update

On August 31, 2017, the City of Houston issued a press release, found here, which states, among other things, normal garbage schedule resumes for all collection days.

BUT Solid Waste Management Department will be suspending some of its collection services, specifically, yard waste, recycling and junk waste/tree waste until further notice. This means they will only be collecting what is in the black trash containers; they will not be emptying the green recycle trash containers, nor will they be picking up the grass/leaf/yard debris in the CoH approved bags. They are also suspending the monthly heavy trash pickups.
