

SSCA VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE OPPORTUNITIES
COMMITTEE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Spring Shadows Civic Association is comprised of multiple volunteer committees designed to better serve our community. Committee members are not required to be board members in order to serve on a committee. Below is a description of the committees of the SSCA along with a description of their responsibilities.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL/DEED RESTRICTIONS COMMITTEE (ACC/ACDR)
Administers, monitors, and enforces the compliance of all property owners of the Spring Shadows Subdivision with all of the provisions of the amended Deed Restrictions adopted and “in force” by the property owners of the Spring Shadows Subdivision.
BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
Develops and administers programs to maintain and enhance the overall beauty and appearance of the subdivision, especially in such common areas as esplanades, etc., procures appropriate contract or volunteer labor, conducts educational “How To Do” programs for homeowners, and “Yard of the Month” recognition.

BUDGET/FINANCIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE
Assists and advises the Treasurer of the SSCA, prepares the annual budget for presentation to the Board of Directors at the regular November meeting for adoption and approval, monitors and reports the expenditures of various categories of funds throughout the fiscal year and, if necessary, recommends corrections.

COMMUNITY/GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Monitors community events/actions of business entities, regulatory bodies, or governmental entities that will impact on the residents of the Spring Shadows community, and the quality of life therein.

HEALTH/MOSQUITO COMMITTEE
Monitors and supervises the contract operations of mosquito control projects and/or other measures necessary for the maintenance of the general health and well-being of the residents of the Spring Shadows community.

PATROL/SAFETY COMMITTEE
Plans, supervises, and coordinates SSCA security patrol services, coordinates with local law enforcement, city, and all other governmental agencies that will impact on the safety and security of the citizens of the community.

COMMUNICATIONS/
PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE
Plans and prepares all SSCA publications to homeowners and solicits advertisements for the Newscaster.
​
RECREATION/SOCIAL ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE
Plans, coordinates and supervises such functions, outings, etc., as shall be appropriate for the entire community of Spring Shadows.

PERSONNEL/NOMINATIONS/
ELECTIONS COMMITTEE
Identifies potential board and committee members and and assists with personnel recruitment as needed.
