It was so nice to see new and familiar faces at our Spring, general HOA meeting last night.

During the meeting homeowners heard from from a CenterPoint representative, Cole Stevenson, the Spring Branch area manager, about their resiliency plan for the city. He provided information about how to report leaning utility poles and tree trimming concerns. CenterPoint is also responsible for replacement of dirt and grass after construction and it should be reported when not completed.

A deputy sergeant from the Harris County Constables, Precinct 5, Johnny Valencia, spoke about safety and patrolling concerns for our area and answered home owner questions, particularly focusing on the frequent speeding area adjacent to North Brook high school.

HOA specific discussions included the newly revamped HOA website https://www.springshadows.org and the fact that there are many non-official, non-HOA Facebook pages using 'Spring Shadows' in their name. It is important to note that these pages are not in any way representative of Spring Shadows Civic Association. For those wanting accurate HOA information on Facebook, it can be found at our official Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064360432758 where our logo is prominently displayed and the page is titled Spring Shadows Civic Association. The HOA budget was reviewed. Finally, homeowners indicated described their Westray street speeding concerns and proposed a possible solution with the creation of a petition for added speed bumps on the street to be submitted to City of Houston officials. Further information will be provided as plans and actions by involved homeowners become available.

And, finally, we must not forget to mention how much we enjoyed the meeting cookies! We looking forward to seeing you at the upcoming October general meeting.
